A LIVE-WORK EXPERIENCE

To create this project, I started thinking about the music genre. I chose Soul music because it resonates with my personality. The values that this music carries are in tune with my purpose in life: To live in an inclusive and integrative society, to uplift others, and to be honest, real; pure. The word “release” is the word that best describes this music because soul music comes from within in a natural way, so “release” became my main concept. The essence of this type of music is the energy of the human voice. It is a music that comes from within, letting out a pure expression. It was created to uplift and give strength to the people who were going through an unjust situation in life.  I created a space that expresses this hope and motivation and that also influences people to be social, flexible, positive, expressive, etc... It is a space that wraps people in a fun atmosphere, where the boundaries are flexible and indistinct. When entering the space the user arrives to a dark and enclosed area, then the space unveils and transforms into a more illuminated area creating an unwinding feeling. I got these design result in the space because I see a place as an inconclusive area that serves to resolve a need. After that necessity is solved, a place can always change and adapt because it is flexible, just like nature. This is why a place is inconclusive, because of the way life works, everything that exists is always transforming.

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:

Design is a pressuring force that drives us, we cannot escape it. It is an underlying natural act. When our pure interior self-expresses, a limitless boundary emerges between our inner world and existence. This transforming boundary channels our essence superimposing it with reality. This powerful trench is defined by a combination of rich elements making it a bold means of information. When existence and inner-self contact each other, an unconscious collaborative act is assembled, giving birth to a holistic design.

 RESUME

Since I can remember, the need to channelize my creative energy has always been part of me. I was always driven to express myself intuitively, with a deep level of sensitivity towards wellbeing in general. Unconsciously, this is why I am constantly improving my abilities, absorbing knowledge and growing spiritually; to provoke a worthy shift in all aspects of my surroundings.

I chose this career path because I believe that the interior spaces directly affect a person’s behavior and quality of life. This career path allows me to use my abilities and creativeness to innovate and upgrade a person’s mental and physical wellbeing. This is my true inspiration, being an instrument to elevate a person’s quality of life, taking into consideration science, psychology, and art. But life starts in our minds, and when I can affect positively and shift that person into a higher perspective and provide a new way of thinking, it makes me feel that my life has a purpose.
